Managing a company's presence at conferences and tradeshows can be daunting. These multi-faceted projects require cross-functional department collaboration and include working closely with sales and product marketers months prior to decide on messaging, social and email campaigns, gamification, swag and any printed collateral so memorable and critical messaging is being clearly communicated to show attendees. I have successfully managed several tradeshows with several companies I've been involved with. My involvement included:
-
Designing and ordering background graphics, swag and print collateral, as well coordinately timely shipping of all necessary items to the tradeshow warehouses
-
Working with conference organizers to confirm booth area size, deadlines, etc., and selecting and ordering all booth furniture
-
Working with Marketing Operations to create email campaigns and Marketing Coordinator to design and schedule social media posts
Gated or ungated is often the question. Know your audience - know your asset. Digital assets can include eBooks, whitepapers, presentation decks, brochures, flyers, and everything in-between - and I've designed them all. Digital collateral is a great way to get your information in front of a customer quickly and easily. Links can be embedded into an interactive pdf and emailed to get content to your customers seamlessly.
Need something a bit more engaging? Infographics are a great way to get a lot of information absorbed in a very visual and interactive way. This type of layout is perfect for getting stats, results, workflows, etc., shown in easy-to-digest pieces. Best of all, sizing for infographics is completely flexible, as typically, this type of asset is digital.
Printed collateral, while similar to digital, requires extra steps to make sure the final product showcases the company in the best possible light. Elements to double check include:
-
Making sure CMYK is being used to ensure crisp and accurate color matching;
-
Adding crop marks so print companies can finish the product to exact measurements;
-
Embedding images and fonts, so design elements are correct and rendered at the highest resolution
Your favorite website, social platform, and online in general is inundated with ads. So, while knowing your target audience is crucial, you also need to stand out from the rest.
-
Carousel ads - keep a user clicking through;
-
Display ads - short messaging & powerful imagery that fit various sizes;
-
Your company branding MUST be strong and the messaging must be clear
Your website is the first impression customers will have with your company and your product. Branding, messaging, user experience, design, forms, etc - everything is crucial and you have seconds to make or break it. I have experience designing web graphics, writing CSS and HTML, adding keywords to improve SEO, and more. Believe it or not, your website is just important - if not more - than your actual building (if you have one). It's an extension of your product and the first place people go to get to know you.

Video intros are a powerful tool to showcase your brand’s personality and engage viewers right from the start. In an era where first impressions are everything, a well-crafted video intro helps you stand out, sets the tone for your content, and establishes credibility. Think of it as your brand’s handshake with the audience—something memorable that conveys professionalism and creativity in a matter of seconds. It’s the difference between someone scrolling past and sticking around to see what you have to offer.
